Our Story
Our story began with great-grandma Jeanne, a talented baker with a passion for giving back to her community. She baked an array of delicious treats, with her famous chocolate chip mandel bread standing out as the family favorite. Written on a worn piece of yellow notebook paper, Jeanne’s recipe became a treasured family keepsake.
For Jeanne, baking was more than a skill—it was a way to spread joy. She packed her suitcase not with clothes, but with desserts, sharing them wherever she went. She continued baking well into her nineties, leaving behind a legacy of generosity, warmth, and talent.
In our family, baking wasn’t just a pastime—it was a tradition. Saturday mornings were filled with the smell of pancakes and the sound of laughter, moments that brought us together and inspired the creation of Grandma’s Goodies.
As we grew, mandel bread became a staple in our home, a reminder of those cherished mornings. Alongside our love for baking, we embraced the value of community service through Scouting, learning the importance of giving back and the joy of "paying it forward."
This spirit of generosity and tradition led to the creation of Grandma’s Goodies. But it’s not just about enjoying delicious desserts—it’s about sharing happiness and making a difference. For every dozen pouches sold, we donate a pound of our treats to local food banks.
Thank you for joining us on this journey of making the world a little sweeter, one treat at a time.
